Voice Portrait Packages
To get you started we offer three customizable Voice Portrait packages with marked differences in scope, complexity and time requirements. Each can be customized to your particular intentions. Although all our packages are customizable with Options and Add-ons, Base Packages have been designed to cover most clients needs. Voice Portrait Packages: starting at $795.
A. Story Catcher:
Facilitated Audio Recording Session
This is a lightly edited professionally recorded oral history session, marking a milestone or covering a specific subject, capturing a voice that might otherwise be lost, the raw material of the Voice Portrait. It may take place between yourself and a trusted friend or family member, or between friends/family members about you or someone of your choice.
Base Package Details (sufficient in most cases)
- Free 15 minute Telephone Consultation.
- Supplied list of standard general questions to help you with your or your team’s preparation.
- One 1 hour recording session at your location.
- This lightly edited recording does include the removal of obvious interruptions and pauses, and being broadcast quality can be archived for future editing into a more comprehensive project.
- Delivered via email or CD in a standard case customized with the subject’s name.
- In perpetuity licensing for personal/private use, replication and private sharing.
Options & Add-ons
- Travel over 50 km.
- Additional pre-production meetings
- Additional recording sessions and editing time are available on an hourly basis to boil down the raw tape and distill out the gold into a roughly 30 minute piece.
- Custom Tribute Packaging incorporating the subject’s Portrait (portrait must be provided).
- Additional CDs.
- Full Photographic Services: details available upon request.
- Professionally edited transcript of the interview(s). Pricing per case based upon time and complexity.

B. Story Weaver:
Professional Audio Interview Session
This is the essential Voice Portrait. It is a fully edited memoir involving an audio-recorded conversation between a professional conversation guide or interviewer (usually Peter), and either you or a person of your choice, either about you or someone of your choice. It is what you might expect from a radio documentary or memoir style interview.
Base Package Details (sufficient in most cases)
- Free 20-30 minute Telephone Consultation.
- 20-30 minute Telephone Pre-interview with the subject and/or up to 1-2 family members or friends.
- Based on the pre-interview we will prepare a set of customized outline questions as a rough guide to help you or the subject prepare for the recording session. It is understood that unexpected moments of spontaneity will lead us to the most authentic and engaging capture of the spirit of the subject.
- One 1.5-2 hour recording session at your location.
- Edited fully-mastered, final broadcast quality recording (30-60 minutes) delivered via email or CD.
- 3 CDs in Customized Tribute Cases incorporating the subject’s Portrait (portrait of sufficient quality and resolution must be provided)
- In perpetuity licensing for private use and replication for private use.
Options & Add-ons

- Recording of additional friend or family member in the main session either as an an equal (e.g. both one’s parents) or as a trusted support to help facilitate the conversation.
- Additional or extended recording sessions and editing time are available on an hourly basis.
- Audio visual slideshow with up to 35 still digital images supplied by you, delivered on a DVD.
- Additional CDs or DVDs.
- Scanning, image restoration and other Photoshop work required on images to be incorporated into the project.
- Colour and black & white printing.

C. Audiovisual Legacy:
Professional A/V Production
This package mixes voice and photography. It is the Voice Portrait that you can see. It is intended as a comprehensive highly edited audiovisual slideshow based on multiple recording sessions with a principle subject and up to three other contributors. The audio is edited together with still images into a 60-90 minute timeline viewable on TV or computer.
Base Package Details (highly customizable)
- Up to three 1.5 hour pre-production consultation meetings including a pre-view of images under consideration, and incorporation of up to 90 digital still images (of sufficient quality and resolution) that you will supply
- Based on the pre-production consultations, we will prepare a set of customized outline questions as a rough guide to help you, the subjects or additional commenters prepare for the recording sessions. It is understood that unexpected moments of spontaneity will lead us to the most authentic and engaging capture of the spirit of the subject.
- Up to three 60-120 minute professional recording sessions at locations of our mutual agreement with one or two interview subjects at each session.
- Edited, fully mastered, final broadcast quality 60-90 minute audio visual slideshow (in HD format), delivered on a DVD.
- 3 DVDs in Customized Tribute Case incorporating the subject’s Portrait (portrait of sufficient quality and resolution must be provided)
Options & Add-ons
